oversleeping disorder

Common Insomnia. Insomnia is probably the most prevalent sleep disorder and the inability to falling asleep or remain asleep. There are many types of insomnia, but the three most frequent are inability to get to sleep, inability to stay asleep, or difficulty staying awake. Insomnia, also called either sleeping problem or sleepwalking, is the difficulty falling or staying asleep and waking up again.

Sleep Apnea Symptoms and Signs

Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder causing serious interruptions in breathing. This may happen several times during the night and may require emergency medical attention. Although you may still be able to fall asleep for long time if you have insomnia, if your oversleeping disorder interferes with your ability to sleep, you will experience fatigue and exhaustion at the same time. This can be a difficult combination to deal with leading to the headache and other problems associated with sleep.

Another type of sleeping problem is called transient insomnia. This usually lasts for a few days and then disappears. Some people suffering from transient insomnia may find it goes away after a few days and is only noticed when they have trouble getting to sleep for less than 12 hours. However, it is not gone once it starts. If you are suffering from transient oversleeping disorder, you need to seek help because it could cause more serious health problems. Short-term memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and even accidents on the motor vehicle can occur because of it.

The third form of sleep disorder that affects people is called idiopathic hypersomnia. This is often caused by a physical condition such as hypoxemia or narcolepsy, or by depression. Because most people with excessive sleepiness issues don’t have a physical illness causing the sleepiness, idiopathic hypersomnia has no cure. People who are suffering from this form of insomniac always have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep for a long period of time.

The fourth possible cause is a change in sleeping pattern. This occurs more commonly than you think. It’s very common for people to feel tired during the day and not be able to get the required amount of sleep at night. When this happens, you need to get your sleep pattern checked. It might just be a case of adjusting your sleeping pattern in order to get the right amount of rest.

The fifth possible cause of oversleeping is the use of prescription sleep aids. These aids can contain ingredients like melatonin, which is a natural hormone produced in the human body. If you are taking a prescribed sleep aid all the time, then the body will not be able to get enough of it during the time you are not feeling well and it would start to reduce the amount of sleep that it gets. A lack of sleep may result in the person feeling irritable and less productive during the day. If you are consuming too much sleep, it can also affect your brain, resulting in poor judgment when driving or during job interviews.

Other symptoms that can indicate the presence of an oversleeping disorder include depression and anxiety. If you feel bad about being unable to sleep or if you are avoiding physical activities because you want to stay awake, then you may suffer from one of these disorders. You should immediately consult with a doctor in order to get an evaluation of the problem. If you have a physical disorder causing your insomnia, then your doctor may prescribe some medication in order to cure the disorder. If you have psychological disorders that are causing your oversleeping, then you may require different treatment from those provided for physical illnesses.

End Note

One type of sleep apnea is characterized by an individual having excessive daytime sleepiness, interrupted breathing while sleeping, gasping and snoring, and frequent awakenings upon waking up. A doctor may prescribe antidepressants to get rid of this disorder, or he may recommend a surgical procedure called sleep apnoea removal. In the case of excessive daytime sleepiness caused by narcolepsy, the patient will be placed on a regular naps and the use of artificial light and sound therapies will be changed in order to help the patient overcome this disorder. A sleep study may also be conducted in order to determine if the patients are suffering from narcolepsy.
